"Good Grief" Song Miners Session with Catherine MacLellan & Jonathan Byrd
Event Details
Good Grief is a workshop about understanding loss through songwriting. Though experienced songwriters are welcome, no songwriting or musical experience is required. Everyone will write a song!
FRIDAY NIGHT
6:30pm ice breaker, how to use Viewstub, the great service we're using to record and organize
7pm break out, writing exercises, prompts with preferred teachers
8pm back together for mini-concert and discussion
9pm Good night
SATURDAY MORNING
10am Catherine teaches a class
11am Jonathan teaches a class
12noon lunch break
1-5pm - each student has 20 minutes one-on-one with preferred teacher
7pm Everyone shares what they've written for group feedback. Can go until about 9:30.
SUNDAY
1pm second Song salon. Share what has been done with feedback from Saturday night. Can go until 4pm. Less formal, more fun. Wrap up and share facebook group, links, recommendations etc. Congratulations!
