Intro to anatomy

Event Details

This year's 'Intro to Anatomy' session has moved online but you can still come along to hear from modern day anatomists about what it's like to study the human body in its physical form! We are thrilled to announce we will be joined by two members of staff from the anatomy department of the University of Edinburgh who will tell you about what it's like to study anatomy.

Studying anatomy is a big part of medical school and is one of the more different experiences you are privileged to as a medical student but how do the universities get the cadavers? When did we start using donated human remains for teaching? What is it like to see a cadver for the first time? We'll cover all this and more during the hour long session!

Tickets are free and we would encourage anyone with an interest in studying medicine or human biology after high school to come along! We will have time for questions throughout and we may have a special anatomy themed quiz during the mid-way break!

This session won't be recorded so make sure you sign up for your free ticket now so you don't miss out!
