When hip-hop artist JSWISS is on the mic you can count on three things: inspiring messages, sharp wordplay, and an energy that moves the crowd. JSWISS’ notable delivery and wordplay not only take center-stage on his own projects, like his latest full-length album “Every Word Is A Dollar”, but make the talented MC a favorite collaborator of standout bands and musicians across genres. Accomplished talents like Maurice “Mobetta” Brown, Ben Williams, Marcus Strickland, Nicholas Payton, E.J. Strickland, Daru Jones, Chris “Daddy” Dave and more, have tapped JSWISS when they seek a lyricist who can effortlessly fall in where most MCs can’t.

Fresh off a barrage of releases during his monthly Bandcamp-hosted “First Thursdays” series, JSWISS is back with “The Lab” live performance series, which sees him tap into his network of talented musicians to workshop early stage ideas into full fledged songs live on stage. Previous versions of “The Lab” have spawned songs like “Once Again” featuring Mark Whitfield, “Light Around” with Marcus Machado, and “Better” with U’Nique Music.

For this edition of The Lab featured on keys is Chad Selph, on bass Mike Griot, and drums Joe Blaxx. Special guests are Maurice “Mobetta” Brown on trumpet, Casey Benjamin on sax and Chandanie on vocals.

Now and Then" is Brooklyn's newest INDOOR/OUTDOOR venue with an amazing Sound System, an outdoor patio, delicious food and full bar. Every seat in the house is a perfect seat with a view of the bandstand.
