Trash 2 Trends An Evening of Recycled Fashion is not only a fundraiser for Keep Orlando Beautiful 501(c)3, but a night that brings the fashion and art world together alongside the environmental community to promote and inspire sustainability. This event is part of the City’s continued efforts to be one of the most sustainable cities in America to ensure Orlando’s natural resources and amenities are protected for residents and future generations to come.

WHAT:

Twenty-Seven amazingly talented fashion designers and artists have created innovative fashion forward high-end looks made from materials that would otherwise end up in our local landfill or recycling facility. Each design is showcased by a model down a 48ft long runway, judged in (5) separate categories and celebrated for their sustainable messaging & creativity. This extraordinary evening seeks to combine the fashion & art world with the environmental community in hopes of promoting and inspiring new perspectives on sustainability. These high-fashion designs will blow your mind and expand your ideas on what is possible when you reduce, reuse, recycle. 

A panel of judges will choose winners in five different categories. The funny and talented Doug Ba’auser will be your host for this one of a kind sustainability journey along with local favorite Orlando Sentinel Columnist Scott Maxwell. Why:

All funds raised at this event are spent back into the community the following year through volunteer supplies, tree plantings, public recycling bins, local graffiti abatement murals and newly introduced... KOB will begin funding field trip excursions for school children to visit local nature wonderland, Bill Fredrick Park. Students will be given the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning specific to their age while experiencing our environment in a manner that they would be unable to otherwise.

When:

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at SeaWorld Orlando Ports of Call (Sea World Dr, Orlando, FL 32821, USA). Guests will enter to a dazzling environmental display while walking down the green carpet as part of this high fashion evening, various photo opportunities as you enter and mingle while enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The fashion show starts at 8 p.m. and ends around 10 p.m. with all attendees invited to the onsite After-Party including a live DJ and dance floor along with a Dessert & Coffee Bar until 11:00pm!
