36th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Breakfast

Event Details

The Hartford Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. presents the 36th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Breakfast on Monday, January 18, 2021, 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The event celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. King and raises scholarship funds for deserving African American, female high school seniors in Greater Hartford. As we continue to weather the COVID-19 pandemic during these unprecedented times, the event will be held virtually.

The breakfast is the premier scholarship fundraising event for the Hartford Alumnae Chapter and one of the largest Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebrations in Connecticut. With the support of corporate and community sponsorship, more than 146 talented Greater Hartford high school senior girls have been awarded more than $388,500 in scholarship funds. This year, we will honor Dr. King’s life and legacy by stirring the consciousness of attendees through a community conversation, “Civil Rights Movement or Moment?”.
