About Hartford Alumnae Chapter
In May 1947, 13 visionary women came together to charter the Hartford Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Today the active membership of the Hartford Alumnae Chapter includes more than 100 professional women in the fields of education, government, corporate America, and the nonprofit sector. For more than 70 years, our chapter has been a driving force in the Hartford community with a purpose to provide services and programs that promote human welfare. We continue to be dedicated to the mission and vision of the Sorority’s Founders by contributing countless hours of public service and outreach programs in the areas of Educational Development, Economic Development, Physical and Mental Health, Political Awareness and Involvement and International Awareness and Involvement.
