Operation Smile quickly pivoted to virtual for their annual fundraiser event in December of 2020. ViewStub’s white label solution enabled them to completely customize the video player as well as host the event on their own website.
Operation smile brought in TV Host Brooke Burke to host the event and featured a special performance by the Grammy-nominated rock band One Republic.
Donation-based ticketing made it easy for attendees to contribute securely through the virtual platform. The event was streamed live, however on-demand replay was made available to continue to collect donations after the event.
ViewStub enables organizations to sell tickets online and host successful fundraising events that achieve donation goals.

Each year, Operation Smile provides surgery and dental care for 19,000+ children around the globe. This is possible thanks to the generous contributions of medical professionals who volunteer their time, as well as corporations that donate critical supplies and equipment necessary for safe surgery. They rely on fundraisers to create awareness to their cause and to collect donations to help them continue their missions.
2020 presented many challenges for the organization, including the ability to host fundraisers and meet face-to-face at fundraising events. For their annual Smiles Across the Miles event in December of 2020, they quickly pivoted to a virtual environment using ViewStub as their virtual provider. They were able to set up donation-based sponsors and ticketing for the live streamed event.
