João Alves is a 28 years old musician from Madeira, who started his path in the performance world quite early, entering several choirs, participating in festivals, live concerts, and musical theatres, standing out during performances as the main soloist with some elements from the Classic Orchestra, Banda Militar da Madeira, Banda Paroquial de São Lourenço, and Orquestra de Bandolins da Madeira. Moved by the passion for music and the desire to follow a musical career, João went up to Grade 8 in singing at “The associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music”, in London, and attended “Acting in Musical Theatre” and “Auditions Techniques” courses at the music schools of Guildhall and Guildford, in the United Kingdom. João graduated in Music from the University of Wolverhampton (UK), and in 2015 started the adventure of producing his own live concerts, premiering at Palco do Teatro Baltazar Dias and posteriorly presented in Wolverhampton, in the scope of his final course project. João is a baritone, pianist, and composer and created the Joves Productions Event production company that predicts, during performances, the meeting of artists. This way, the musicians that integrate it are selected considering their artistic skills, the musical context, and the target audience, creating opportunities for new elements and promoting a specific and innovative dynamic.
