Meet the medics

In the lead up to the deadline for applying to medical school we are running live events online for any pupils interested in becoming a doctor. In this session we will give pupils the oppurtunity to speak to doctors from different specialties both in and outside the hospital. Pupils will be split into small groups, providing an excellent chance to ask any burning questions or just hear what our volunteer doctors have to say! We have also organised representatives from each of the 5 Scottish medical schools to allow pupils the chance to learn about life at university in each location. To finish we will give students the chance to ask any final questions.

This event is intended for pupils interested in applying to medicine who have missed out on work experience or time in hospitals. If you have been able to attend work experience or know doctors personally you might not get as much out of this event as other pupils. Capacity can become a problem so we appreciate your understanding if we have to prioritise some pupils over others. Don't worry though, we will be running many other sessions throughout the year and anyone can get in touch with us at advice@youcanbeadoctor.co.uk if you have any questions!
