REALITY SHIFT: An Observational Symposium

REALITY SHIFT: An Observational Symposium

Monday, July 13, 2026 | Orlando, FL

The Concept This is not a workshop, a certification course, or a debate. REALITY SHIFT is a one-day, in-person symposium designed for professionals who want to step back from the "daily doing" to focus on deep thinking.

This is also not a rehash of the old "HOP vs. BBS" arguments of the past. We are not here to watch frameworks fight for dominance or debate which model is superior. We are here for synthesis.

Hosted in a private theater setting, this event provides a cinematic atmosphere designed strictly for observation and reflection. There are no breakout groups. There are no Q&A interruptions. Just three distinct perspectives on the systems that govern our work and the friction of human behavior.

The Day’s Progression

We have structured the day to follow a specific narrative arc, allowing you to absorb the theories before we integrate them into a practical reality.

  • The Systemic Perspective: Todd Conklin, Ph.D. explores the principles of Human & Organizational Performance (HOP) and how we frame systemic reality.

  • The Behavioral Perspective: Nic Weatherly, Ph.D. provides the behavioral lens, looking at the mechanics of human action (BBS) within those systems.

  • A Visual Disruption: We will transition into a private screening of a high-concept documentary. This immersive film serves as a visual metaphor for the illusions of control and systemic friction in complex organizations.

  • The Signal Integration: Jay Allen, Ph.D. closes the day by bridging these foundational frameworks with the Signal Trilogy—moving from established theory to the critical signals we often miss in the noise.

The Environment & Logistics

We are stepping away from the traditional hotel ballroom and into a private, independent cinema. Please note, this is not a stadium-style luxury theater with recliners. It is a practical, table-seated environment designed for you to spread out your notes, comfortably observe, and absorb the content.

Food & Beverage: To maintain the uninterrupted "symposium" flow of the day, attendees will have access to a venue menu via QR codes at their tables. You can seamlessly order meals and refreshments directly to your seat throughout the morning sessions. (Please note: This is an alcohol-free, professionally focused event. Food and beverage costs are not included in the ticket price.)
